Redgrass is a warm season grass that occurs along the south eastern seaboard of Australia, mainly in coastal, tablelands and sloped environments. It survives well in very harsh dryland conditions. Redgrass is a warm season perennial grass that has green or reddish tinged leaves. It is low growing, barely reach heights above 10cm, and will survive low periods of drought.

Redgrass can provide valuable forage in the warmer months. It is useful for soil conservation in heavily grazed areas in summer, as well as on degraded sites and river banks. Redgrass has been used successfully in light roughs in golf courses, as well as lawns and in rehabilitation.

*This product is a mixture of pure seed and vermiculite. Vermiculite aids germination by improving the water holding capacity of soil and also aids in sowing of the seed.
