Acacia macradenia, Zigzag Wattle
A medium to tall shrub 3-4m x 2-3m that flowers from July-Aug. It’s found in areas inland from Rockhampton on stony soils and along stream banks. It is very hardy, especially for hot dry climates. It is adaptable and can be grown as far south as Melbourne. It is frost tolerant, but isn’t suited for severe winters.
